Tressler's Legal Fees to Valley View School District Cost Taxpayers a Whopping $37k in Just 3 months

"...Mayor Claar has a 5 to 2 advantage on the School Board...Tressler's donated more than $60k to their campaign...will the board do what's right and replace Tressler with a firm that's cheaper and more experienced in the area of school law?"

For example, we've often pointed out the fact - DuPage Township provides duplicative services.  Why not save the taxpayers $2.1 million a year by eliminating the Township (with the exception of the Assessor's Office).

The Mayor of Dalton, Illinois presents a $1.4 million contract to the Village board.  One problem, the contract holder was his very own daughter.  This outrageous act was exposed to the public by 2 courageous Trustees, and the constant questioning from the Chicago Tribune.

Central Fall's (RI) school board fired all 93 teachers

The Central Falls school Board of Trustees, in a brief but intense meeting, voted 5-2 to fire every teacher at the school. In all, 93 names were read aloud in the high school auditorium — 74 classroom teachers, plus reading specialists, guidance counselors, physical education teachers, the school psychologist, the principal and three assistant principals.

Fountaindale Public Library Flunks Transparency Test

Joe Bookworm (our volunteer reporter) asked the library board to include the "total cost" for items presented in the Action Report.   Instead, the library board decided to blow him off, and not address the cost of several items presented at the meeting.  Joe Bookworm left the meeting very frustrated.  Lets give him a thumbs up for having the courage to step out and ask questions.
