Jim Boan is a dirty sneeky man. His entire firm is that way. You can tell by looking at them. They remind me of Swiper on the Dora kids show. Swiper has this side grin that says he knows he is about to steal something... Jeff Alpert and Jim Boan has that same look. Both are from Trellers.. Hmmmm
What is with this thing people have about naming something after an employee? Weren't they paid for what they did? Just think if they had named the police station The Drew Peterson Bldg?
Don't name things after people who are still alive. What happens if they are convicted of something a few years later?
I heard during one of the union arbitration hearings (not exactly sure which union), Jim Boan represented the village along with two other attorneys. Does anyone know if this is common or even a necessary expenditure? Seems one good attorney should be enough. And is Boan not a good enough attorney to handle that? Just curious how that works if anyone knows...seems like a lot of money attending that hearing.
You don't need 3 attorneys to negotiate a contract. At most you need ONE attorney from a competent firm (not Tressler) to review the final contract negotiated. I've negotiated many multi-million dollar contracts without an attorney. But no attorney means no $s for Boan et al so Claar wouldn't go that route and do what makes sense for Bolingbrook. Also we waste money on 6 do nothing rubber stamp Trustees who obviously have no real world experience and no integrity to do their job.
The truth hurts. Bet the 6 Vill board members in Bolingbrook would never hire an independent attorney to investigate Tressler's legal bills. It's equivalent to biting the hand that feeds you.

What's even more outrageous is the fact that Bolingbrook residents do not give a damn.
So we are talking pay to play when three attorneys are used when only one is necessary. This is why I did not vote for the first party candidates! It is like what was said by someone at the budget meeting last year. They are just a bunch of ducklings following mother duck!
If half of what the Bolingbrook Report has recently posted is true, it is time to turn up the heat on the school board and the other boards. The Bolingbrook Report stories, along with the two links on this site, and the relationships our taxing bodies have with Tressler are beginning to smell like rotten fish.
