Fountaindale Public Auction

Fountaindale library caves to public pressure.  Can you believe they originally wanted to donate the proceeds to their pet charity/non-profits?

This result shows what can change when people (taxpayers) get involved and let their feelings be known. Kudos to those that let the Board know they didn't accept their actions of donating proceeds to "non-profits and charities". Remember this is a government "of the people, for the people and by the people, not by certain interests." Your voice counts.
I do not sit on any of these so-called charitable or non-profit Boards.

  2. Peg Danhof, President of the Library Board, announced at their meeting on 3-17 that their attorney had informed them that they couldn't give the proceeds ($24,000) to the Friends of the Library. Their attorney said it would be a violation of state statute. They passed a motion to place the proceeds in the General Fund of the Library. Hey! DuPage Township and Village of Bolingbrook..time to check with a good attorney?
